Lauren Sustad
Art Director
Lauren’s journey with Workhorse Marketing began as a freelance Graphic Designer in 2019 before transitioning into the full-time Art Director role in 2023, where she leads creative vision across client accounts. She builds cohesive, on-brand visual identities through photography, video, and graphic design across digital and print platforms. Lauren believes strong creative is more than visually appealing. It should communicate clearly, feel authentic, and support marketing goals.
Lauren specializes in brand development, campaign creative, and multi-channel visual storytelling. Recent work includes:
- Full rebrand of Taylor I Serbin Injury Lawyers, formerly Law Offices of Jason E. Taylor, including logo, visual identity, and brand guide
- Summer campaign concept for Greater Austin YMCA, “Keeping Austin,” celebrating the originality of Austin, Texas
- Supporting Plasti-Dip’s Paint Protection Film (PPF) launch with product label and packaging design, photography, and editing 15- and 30-second commercial spots
- Assembling case studies highlighting Workhorse Marketing’s client campaign success
From a young age, Lauren knew her “big girl job” would involve creativity. Whether crafting, photographing, or experimenting with Kid Pix, she was drawn to turning ideas into visual outcomes. That passion led to a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design from Bemidji State University with minors in Studio Arts and Mass Communication.
Now with a decade of professional graphic design experience, Lauren brings a balance of creative thinking and hands-on execution. She has worked extensively with nonprofits, community initiatives, powersports brands, and national organizations, and is especially passionate about projects that create positive impact. She takes a human-first approach to AI, using it to stay efficient while keeping creative direction rooted in human insight. Her favorite part of her role is translating ideas into visuals that resonate with audiences and strengthen brand recognition.
